Please consider looking into some kind of Wireless Android Auto Dongle integration with "WiCAN Pro" (the fully open-source OBD port CAN-bus dongle) via USB, Bluetooth, or WiFi:
Just found out that there is a fork of aa-proxy-rs that is working on this (and I understand that the original aa-proxy-rs in turn is a derivative or fork of this WirelessAndroidAutoDongle project):
WiCAN Pro is an OBD-II adapter that is a open-source hardware and open-source firmware project from meatPi (who is a single developer with the help of a small community of other volenteering developers and users). It is based on Espressif 's ESP32 and feature USB, Bluetooth, or WiFi.
