2017 Kia Soul Exclaim not displaying

Hardware:

1. 2017 Kia Soul! (exclaim)
2. Google Pixel 7 Pro
3. Pi Zero 2 W

Problem: Pixel connects to the pi with no problems however Kia head unit does not display the AA hud. Pixel shows Android Auto connected while simultaneously showing looking for Android Auto.

What I have already tried:

1. Re-imaging the pi
2. Using two micro-usb cables (1 for power, 1 for data)
3. Updating Kia Nav software
4. Multiple different micro-usb cables(roughly 5 different cables including a new data cable)
5. Various forum "fixes" that have not panned out.

I will say I am brand new to this whole thing so I'm sure I'm missing a troubleshooting step but any assistance would be greatly appreciated. From what I can tell the power on the pi is fine, for about 30 seconds, maybe less, the light flashes green then turns solid until I either turn the car off or unplug the pi.

Could you please uninstall the Android Auto updates and try again?

Hope you have already verified that your data cable is functional by using it in Android Auto wired mode without any issues...I encountered a similar issue to the one you're experiencing now, and I tried some experimental code changes that is changing the timings and it worked for me. Hi,
I just setup today the Androidautowireless on a raspberry ,I got exactly same issue with my Kia Soul Ev ( usine raspberry pi zero 2w), after many tests, I found the USB cable supplied with the raspberry bought was not compliant with my car, I need test with 2 others cable to got it works.
I am testing now on if any issue to use the raspberry longer, to see if no déconnexion.

Ps: I added to the working câble the electric switch adapter supplied with the raspberry metal box, to avoid the USB port use battery power same when my car is turned off.

Edit : Last tests, after I turned off my car and turned on later to drive and test the Androidautowireless, it not worked anymore, the issue came from the electric switch adapter, it seems not allow data.
Furthermore, I have plugged also the power cable as my data cable seems not enough powerful to keep the connection. So it means two port used , data and power. This bring two troubles, first more cables and second the USB data port keep the raspberry switched on same when I turn off my car, which means it will use the battery, although that's low consumption, I think with the time it may put battery empty.
I will order a Ugreen USB A - Micro USB cable for to try to keep only one câble only, Second to see I can use the electric switch with, otherwise I will have to unplug the USB cable every time which is not so convenient.

ok so after some additional testing and checking the other tickets with similar issues I found a 2 step work around.

1. I had to change AAWG_CONNECTION_STRATEGY to 2 in the config file.
2. use a second Micro USB cable for power off of the 180w port in my dash.

For some reason even though the port will charge my phone and run Android Auto when connecting directly to the head unit the USB port does not seem to produce enough power to run my Raspberry.

If anyone else has a better solution I am willing to try it out.
