2020 Audi Q3 Not Connecting

I have a 2020 Audi Q3. I am using 0.5.0 of WAAD on a Pi Zero W.

I am using a Pixel 7 on Android 16.

Phone will connect to BT on the Pi Zero W and then say it is looking for AA.

This cycles on/off forever and AA never appears on the cars head unit.

Any suggestions?

Tried something different.

My vehicle has 2 USB ports (one Type C and one Type A).

I am using the Type C port with a Type C to Type A cable that goes into the OTG cable (female Type A side).

Under this config, the RPi doesn't even boot up.

I do not have a Type A to Type A cable so I cannot try the other vehicle USB port.

So one of you port have power and the other don't?
You have Pi Zero W or Pi Zero 2 W?

Both ports on the car have power and work with AA directly to the phone.

So I tried a few Type A to Micro USB cables and all give the same issue (BT connects and then disconnects and says it is looking for AA). Not sure what to do next.

So using 0.8.0 seems to be working most of the time. The phone continues to try to connect once the car is off...but that eventually times out.

Hello, Dumb question, are you plugged the Pi in to the OTP port?, I'm using pi0w, got 2 ports, but one is only power supply to pi.

Correct, you have no other choice because you need to use data for HU communication.
