repeat_last_motion does not honor selection mode

repeat_last_motion seems to ignore selection mode.

Reproduction Steps

Recording

I tried this: fv<alt+.><alt+.>

I expected this to happen: The selection would extend in the same way it would with other movements, expanding the highlight to include the next <c>.

Instead, this happened: the selection did not extend, instead it was replaced by the new movement, and I remained in select mode.

Looking through the source code I see that different movements that get saved as the "last movement" have inconsistent behavior in this regard. E.g. goto_next_change works as I expect because it tests the current mode as part of the movement function.
