Using Firefox ESR (and Waterfox) as runtime is broken on the latest versions

I discovered that when I used Firefox ESR (128.9esr) as runtime it breaks and just display a white screen. The only fix was to use older versions. I have decided to use the version 2.12.0 of PWAsForFirefox and the issue is gone, everything is working normally.

Waterfox is also affected by this since it is based on ESR.

What is the cause of all of this?

Right now I am using version 2.12.0 and has no plans to upgrade to the latest version until this is fixed.

@filips123 is this a bug or is it that Firefox 128 is no longer supported?

Update: The known working latest version is 2.12.4 if using Firefox ESR as a runtime and will stay on that until this all fixed.

Also PWAsForFirefox version 2.13.1 is also broken if Firefox ESR was used as the runtime

Apparently version 2.12.4 is fine with Firefox ESR as runtime but I guess the "compatibility fix with Firefox 131" on 2.12.5 broke the older Firefox versions (just like the 128.9 that ESR uses).

For some reason, accessing nsContextMenu in Firefox ESR 128 causes an error. I'll add a simple workaround that prevents this error. This fix has a slight problem, which is that the "open in default browser" context menu item won't be displayed in ESR 128, as a proper fix would require some more changes. However, as ESR 128 will become unsupported soon and Waterfox will probably also switch to the new ESR, I hope this should be fine.
