I have setup the docker version of your service.
When i click trough the webserrice interface, i can the following element inside the browser.

We use the m4a format which comes from Windows basic recorder application that use our phd students and assitants to record their meetings.
They need by the way the diarization in order to speed up the sumup of the meeting: #267

Nowadays I ahev teach them to get the m4a to open vlc and to convert it to mp3 but many times they forgot to do it and so think the application is not working.

This is the problem you are encountering: #42 (comment) (Related: #97).

Basically, you will need to re-encode your files first because they are incompatible with the way we stream them into ffmpeg.

Might take a crack at a PR to integrate qtfaststart based on mime type which would fix this.

Really need this. I try to send records from easy voice recorder. The android version supports aac and it works well, but the watch version only supports m4a. Thus, I can't record more than 30s from my watch. If I turn off the encoder, it can't recognize the audio.

just to inform you that on version 1.8.2-gpu with asr whisperx and model large v3 we have still the issue.
