What are the wholeXX properties for in the HID reports?

In various HID report structures I see the properties whole8, whole16 and whole32, but they seem not to be used. What are they meant for?

To access the data as raw values. Actually you dont need them, I think I was too new to c++ and found it a good option to have them. The code is older now..
