…k_dir()`. Keep the latter as deprecated though.
That way one can obtain more information about the stack state.
That way it's possible to efficiently take ownership if there happens to be only one instance of a snapshot.
It's a low-level set of options to drive (quite unsafe) checkouts. They are unsafe as they may be configured to overwrite, and are in no way similar to `git checkout`.
