Instructions make zero sense

Your instructions are absolutely terrible. I can not figure it out for the life of me. They are horrible.

Honestly I am not sure what this plugin actually does. There is no clear description of what it even does. I was thinking it would edit code inline?

This makes no sense. Why is this project called OpenAI and you do not even have openai settings by default? In the chat model select it is just General Assistant. People use this project? I am totally dumbfounded.

Hold on... ok... it is called Example? Why not just OpenAI? So confusing.

I sort of got it working. I had to copy the "assistants" array into the openai user settings. It failed having "reasoning_effort" so that property had to be removed. It did not send the file or the code. No clue how to even make that work.

I am not sure what the benefit is of this plugin. Having just ChatGPT open in a browser with canvas enabled is just as good if not better.

Am I right that this is your first time using Sublime Text?

Most issues you claimed are about ST complexity, OpenAI models settings complexity or both.

1. That copy on right thing is the usual ST thing how to manage user settings for any plugin. And yep, it's not obvious if you're not aware of it in advance.
2. I believe that think_effort isn't working for u bc you're trying to set it for non thinking model, like 4.1 or smth. It certainly works for me with o3/o4-mini models.
3. Since you're (as I assume) not a profound ST user there's not much sense for you to use this setup over usual gpt app.

However this particular plugin provides a lot of goodies for those who are using st for development as the main ide. For example:

1. Easily toggle project files to be included into the request context,
2. Persistent session history
3. First class any code snippets highlight ST provided
4. Codex alike development experience for o4-mini model where you just set task for assistant and it does a lot of on behalf you.

ive been searching for this feature for sublime text and i finally found this gem. and yes, i just followed your instructions and worked the first time.
